Weightloss woes… The excess skin is becoming my reality.

It’s becoming real. And while I was proud for a long time that I only carried excess skin in my arms, but it is now appearing in my legs. I started to notice the pain first 🤔

Like my legs been clapping while jogging for a while but now not so much the clapping as it feels like part of my outer leg is running in front of me pulling on my back muscles. The jiggle is a different jiggle. Almost like a flat weight loosely tied around my muscle. That’s the best way I could describe it.

I won’t lie I’m a little emotional tonight. Tonight is the night I looked down and finally accepted the fact that this is part of the new me. I will accept it. To be honest I dreamt of the day. Cause this day is so much better than the past 😘 it’s just a growing process 🤗

And to be honest, not even emotional about the appearance, just concerned about having to rest the jogging.😐 Something I love doing 😔

For every problem there is a solution. I will find one. It’s just growing pains. 😘😘

  1. Congrats on the weight loss. Sorry about the loss of jogging. I never got into it, just walking.
One thing most people don’t tell you about is the excess skin when you lose weight, and it is so discouraging!
I hope you find something else you love to do.

    1. I’m wondering if maybe tighter leggings would solve the flappy skin ripping from my muscles would do? Jogging is something I said I would never do and the fact that I built my body strong enough to do exactly that I am not sure I am willing to give it up. I had to give it a rest cause there is some like serious muscle pain but I know there has to be a solution outside of giving it up and surgery I could never afford. I seen a jogger this morning with this tape things on her legs I don’t maybe duct tape the skin 😁😁idk I will figure something out. I can’t give up this far into it.

      1. I don’t know, but it might be worth checking it out. There are also some compression type clothes you can check out.
I know what you mean about the surgery. It makes no sense to me. You would think insurance companies would do it, if for no other reasons than the health benefits.
I hope you find a solution!

  2. Congrats on your weight loss, you should stand proud of your success. You might want to discuss with your physician how to deal with the loose skin.

  3. Huge congrats!! That is not easy. There must be tight athletic wear or spanx that would solve your problem. Maybe try reaching out on a running blog.

  4. Wow, I’m encouraged by your weight loss! I’ve lost some but nowhere near your amount. Bravo! Unfortunately loose skin is a result but I’m sure you would agree it’s much better than being overweight. Again congrats 😀

  5. Hey dont be emotional…its alright..jogging does not solve all the problems….u may need toning of ur skin for that some excercises are required like squat jumps ,lunges and others to be followed dont worry these would surely work for you.

  6. Thanks for being so transparent! It’s hard to stay in the right frame of mind when you’ve worked so hard and there’s some things you just have no control over! Keep it up! You’re inspiring me!
